Your Kanchudhan vessels are built to last generations with proper care. Here's how to keep them beautiful and functional.
Brass Cookware (Pittal)Wash with warm water and mild soap after each use. Avoid harsh detergents. For tin-lined brass, do not use metal scrubbers — use a soft sponge. Re-tinning (kalai) is needed every 2-3 years with regular use. Contact us for re-tinning service. To restore shine, rub with a paste of lemon juice and salt, then rinse. Use on low to medium heat. Brass distributes heat evenly and does not need high flame. Bronze Dinnerware (Kansa)Wash with warm water and mild soap. Dry immediately with a soft cloth. Bronze develops a natural patina over time — this is normal and safe. To restore shine, use tamarind paste or a lemon-salt mixture. Do not store acidic foods (pickles, citrus) in bronze for long periods. Safe for serving hot rice, dal, curries, and dry dishes. Copper Drinkware (Ragi)Fill with water at night and drink in the morning for maximum health benefits. Clean inside with lemon and salt once a week to prevent oxidation. Do not store milk, juice, or carbonated drinks in copper vessels. The green/brown patina on the outside is natural. It does not affect water quality. Hand wash only — do not use a dishwasher. General Tips Never use abrasive cleaners or steel wool on any metal vessel. Store in a dry place to prevent moisture damage. All our metals are food-safe and free from harmful chemicals. Need help?
